INTERX Leads AX Autonomous Manufacturing Transformation in Semiconductor and PCB Industries

HAESUNG DS, a global semiconductor component company affiliated with the Haesung Group and led by CEO Choi Young-sik, has signed a partnership agreement with INTERX, an AX autonomous manufacturing solutions specialist led by CEO Park Jeong-yoon, to drive the transition toward AX autonomous manufacturing in semiconductor production facilities.

The semiconductor industry has long been recognized as a leading advanced manufacturing sector built upon ultra-precision processes and highly automated production systems. However, as process complexity increases and reliance on skilled labor grows, the industry is now accelerating the transition from conventional automation-centered manufacturing systems to AI-driven autonomous manufacturing structures.

Through this partnership, HAESUNG DS plans to introduce INTERX’s quality inspection AI solution, “Inspection.AI,” as the first step in transforming its manufacturing sites into AX-enabled autonomous factories. Inspection.AI is one of INTERX’s production execution AX solutions that utilizes AI to analyze quality data generated during manufacturing processes, thereby enhancing inspection efficiency and overall quality management capabilities.

The solution is expected to reduce judgment deviations and operational bottlenecks that may occur in conventional automated inspection processes, while simultaneously improving both inspection speed and accuracy. It is also anticipated to establish a consistent quality management system even in large-scale production environments.

Building upon the quality inspection AI initiative, the two companies plan to expand their collaboration into broader production execution AX solutions, including Recipe.AI for production condition optimization, Quality.AI for quality prediction, and PHM.AI for predictive equipment maintenance.

This collaboration demonstrates the growing adoption of autonomous manufacturing technologies in semiconductor production environments and highlights the potential for expansion into various manufacturing industries in the future. As manufacturing industries increasingly move beyond automation toward autonomy, the partnership is particularly significant in signaling the acceleration of AX autonomous manufacturing adoption within the semiconductor sector.

INTERX has established numerous AX transformation cases across diverse manufacturing industries. Through this partnership with HAESUNG DS, the company is expected to further strengthen its presence in the semiconductor and PCB sectors. At SIMTOS 2026, INTERX recently showcased the world’s first live demonstration of a “Fully Autonomous Machine,” where AI independently controlled and managed the entire manufacturing process—from material input and machining to quality inspection—in an actual machine tool environment. The company is increasingly being recognized as a leading force driving the transition from manufacturing “automation” to “autonomy.”
